NO REFUND by Cliff on August 13th, 2008 on Top Town Private Car & Airport

We had Top Town reserved to take 3 couples out to NYC for a 50th birthday. When the car arrived at the house the 6 year old daughter of the "birthday girl" came running out and while doing so was hit by a passing car. The police, EMT and ambulance came to the scene and we all spent the next day and a half in the hospital and with her. Needless to say we didn't go out partying. The service said they would refund all of the $650.00 for the service because of what happened. Instead, at the end of the month we were charged for the full amount and told that we would have to accept a rain check instead of a refund. I offered 20% to them reflecting the non refundable deposit but they still refused to refund any money. I find this particularly heartless and would certainly never use them. I have no immediate need for a limo and can't see it as fair to leave them with 650.00 for something I have no regular use for.

Hello fellow travelers!! let me try and save you from getting terrible customer service that i recived! I am a travel agent and am no stranger to booking limousines for my clients as well as myself! I have never run into a limo service that is so poorly run! i called cruizn the ritz limo service to get a car to pick up my party at our tappahannock area home and transport us to the port in norfolk va, for a 2 day cruise. Then pick us up in norfolk for the return home 2 days later. I was given the price of $600.00 not including the tip for the driver. This seemed fair and i paid the $300.00 deposit with the remainder due at the time of services. so finally the day comes, we are all ready to go ( by we i mean my husband and myself as well as 2 other couples that are clients of mine that i booked on this cruise!)....but there is no limo....and no phone call to tell me of a problem. I am in my home office calling the limo company at all the numbers on their website....no answer! Finally after 20 minutes of leaving messages the owner robert calls me back and informs me the driver got lost and will be late. So she is finally there, and she was as sweet a person as you could ask for!!!! But in all she was 45 minutes late! we say nothing and all excitedly get in the car. Off we go, it is a beautiful virginia day in june and it is 100 degrees outside...this should be a lovely ride! However without air conditioning...it was a very hot sticky nasty ride! We first complain to the driver, she says she has already called the owner robert several times to complain about the fact the a.c. is not working. i then use my cell phone to call robert to complain myself. He promises to have the a.c. fixed by the time he picks us up for our return trip on monday! He also tells me there is nothing he can do about the problem now and he can not adjust the price as we signed a contract. However he promises to give me a great deal for the next time we book with him! not wanting to cause a scene in front of my clients and due to the fact we all just wanted to get the heck out of this sweat box....we dropped the issue. The driver dropped us off and we tipped her $40.00 for the ride there. She did not want to take the tip because of what we had been through. I told her that she had no control over the a.c. problem and that her services were appriciated. Along comes monday and the limo is to pick us up for the return trip,this time the driver is the owner robert and he is a half hour late to pick us up. He also neglected to stock the car with ice or the cool drinks that are part of the package. He has bottled water to offer us that has been sitting in his hot trunk...remember it's 100 degrees outside!!!! So we arrive home with no more problems. Again we tip $40.00! now here we are,august and i have a client who wants a ride to and from the port in norfolk for an up-coming cruise. So i call cruizn the ritz again. I get a hold of robert the owner and he gives me a price of $1500.00. needless to say i am shocked! This is only a 2 hour trip each way, and just 8 weeks ago the price was $600.00!!! I ask robert how this could be. He then tells me that he has added in the 20% gratuity for the driver and a 5% fuel charge. He says that the charge is for 9 hours of drive time. All that is fine by me!!! Even the fuel charge that is not mentioned on the cruizn the ritz website! Here i am going to cut and paste directly from their website what their charges are for renting a car.... standard stretch limousine service: 120" stretch limousine and chauffeur $85.00 /hour plus 20% gratuity 3 hour minimum* now lets all do the math, shall we? If you add the 25% for tip and fuel charge to the flat rate of $85.00 per hour...you get...... $106.25 per hour. Now if you take that rate and multiply that by nine hours you get... $956.25 this should be our total! But noooooooo! Robert says that he is adding in the extra costs to pay the driver! When if you look at his website or even just what i cut and pasted above, the $85.00 per hour is for both the car and the driver! So evidently the cruizn the ritz company felt it was going to make up for the fact that me and my clients were trapped in that sweltering car for 2 hours in june, by over charging us by $543.75 so if you would like to hire a care in the norther neck and tappahannock, va area i would recomend you go with dixon limousine services out of warsaw va. They are a small company but they are wonderful to deal with! I hope that apon finding this review maybe the owners of cruizn the ritz limousine service will be a bit more honest and customer friendly to their clients!

We used BBL all the time for trips between Hartsfield Airport and home. They are always ontime, courteous and the Sedans are super clean and nice. They always have chilled bottled water and very proffesional chauffeurs.

I signed up for a party bus for my brothers bachelor party. After agreeing on a price with the owner of this service, he tried 3 times to change the price on me. He would continually add charges that were not in our initial agreement and I had to waste my time and effort telling him to read the agreement that was made. Even when the driver picked us up he asked for more money. These are clear bait and switch tactics. Also, the bus that picked us up was about 30 years old, and had none of the features mentioned on the website (tv's, lighting, etc). It had no shocks and any time we ran over a bump our drinks would spill. This was not a big deal because it was for a bachelor party but I would have been very upset if it were my wedding/prom or some other formal occasion. There are so many limo companies out there - Don't waste your time here.
